Vengal Rao, a well-known Tamil comedian who has appeared alongside Vadivelu in various Tamil films, has been ill for some years and is struggling financially.
After suffering from a kidney ailment in 2022, he lately lost the use of one arm and one leg. He is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Vijayawada.Vengal Rao has addressed a note to film stars requesting financial assistance.
In a video, Vengal Rao describes his medical condition, disclosing that one hand and one leg are paralyzed.

In order to pay for his medical care, he makes a financial appeal to movie stars. Due to his paralysis, the aging actor Vengal Rao finds it difficult to talk effectively in the video.Actor Silambarasan has donated 2 lakhs towards Vengal Rao’s treatment, marking the first instance of a Tamil actor offering assistance since Vengal Rao’s appeal. It remains to be seen whether other actors will step forward to assist Vengal Rao as well.
Vengal Rao started his career as a stuntman, working as a stunt double for stars such as Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra.
After receiving a liver ailment diagnosis in June 2022, Vengal Rao was taken to a Vijayawada government hospital.After receiving care in the hospital for a week, he made a full recovery with the help of his daughter Lakshmi.
Vengal Rao has appeared in over 30 Tamil films, frequently collaborating with Vadivelu as part of the lead comedian’s duo.
