Superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for his upcoming project, which is titled “Coolie.” The film was officially announced a few weeks ago with a title teaser. Initially, production was scheduled to begin in the first week of June, but pre-production delays hindered progress. Nevertheless, filming for Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “Coolie” is now set to start in Hyderabad tomorrow, July 5th, 2024.
The creators of “Coolie” have constructed an elaborate set at a film city in Hyderabad, and the initial shooting schedule will span a month. Rajinikanth will sport a stylish, vintage look in “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recently, Kanagaraj shared a photo from Rajinikanth’s test shoot, confirming the actor’s appearance for the action drama, and anticipation is steadily growing. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s team has already traveled to Hyderabad to oversee the final stages of pre-production, with preparations nearly complete for the high-budget film.
Sathyaraj has confirmed his role in “Coolie,” reuniting with Rajinikanth after 38 years. Additionally, Shruti Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Shobana are reportedly part of the cast. The complete cast and crew of “Coolie” are expected to be announced soon, and some surprising additions to the action drama are anticipated.
