Renowned Artist AR Rahman Pays Courtesy Visit to Prime Minister of Malaysia

Today, internationally acclaimed musician and composer AR Rahman had the honour of meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This meeting underscores the cultural ties between India and Malaysia. Held at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Parliament building, Rahman was warmly received by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

During the courtesy visit, Rahman expressed his admiration for Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity and vibrant arts scene. He emphasized the significance of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening bilateral relations between nations. Rahman also discussed potential collaborations in music and the arts, aiming to further enhance cultural diplomacy between India and Malaysia.

Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim welcomed Rahman and acknowledged his significant contributions to the global music industry and the well-being of humanity. He praised Rahman’s efforts in promoting cultural harmony and his dedication to philanthropic causes through his music.

The legendary musician and composer known for his groundbreaking contributions to music globally, continues to extend his influence far beyond the realm of entertainment. Through his steadfast dedication to humanitarian causes, he has demonstrated how music can transcend borders and uplift communities around the world. Rahman’s musical journey began with a vision to inspire and connect people through his melodies.

Rahman expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his warm hospitality and reaffirmed his dedication to promoting music and cultural exchanges between India and Malaysia. He presented a bouquet of flowers and a souvenir to the Prime Minister. Additionally present during the courtesy visit were Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives; Dato’ Alan Foo, Managing Director of Star Planet; and Dato’ R. Rajendran, Director of Star Planet.

Yesterday, Rahman held a fan meet session ahead of his highly anticipated mega concert on July 27th at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, scheduled for 8pm. The meet-and-greet attracted nearly 1,500 attendees, offering fans an opportunity to get up close and personal with Rahman.

Jointly presented by Thamarai Jewels and SRM International Real Estate LLC and organized by Star Planet, the A.R. Rahman Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024 concert will feature Rahman’s iconic hits and cherished songs, enhanced by extraordinary visual and audio production. Joining A.R. Rahman on stage in July will be an exceptional lineup of singers, including Mano, Srinivas, Sri Rascol, Shweta Mohan, Shakthisree Gopalan, Blaaze, ADK, Ameen Rahman, Shubha Vedula, Shivang Sudhir Vaishnav, Hriday Deepak Gattani, and Bhavin Navin Pushkama.
