In recent times, Forbes named R&B singer Rihanna as the highest paid woman in the music industry as she landed herself in the ‘America’s Richest Self-Made Women For 2019’ list. Rihanna has taken a hiatus from producing music and is now focused on her fashion and beauty line as she bags millions of dollars in sales.
We are not entirely sure if this is what inspired Malaysian Tamil rapper, Sheezay to launch his cosmetic line, but he sure has diversified his business.
Sheezay is a popular name in the local and international Tamil music scene but we never knew that he had a liking for makeup. Under the label of Sheezay Cosmetics, he initially launched the RAIN – 2 in 1 Shampoo X Shower Gel and Bamboo Charcoal Soap in mid 2018.
Now, almost a year later, Sheezay has released 3 shades of lipsticks called GIRLPOWER – Lip Matte. He posted photos of the lipsticks on his social media, complete with a wrist swatch and pre-launch giveaway (popular methods used by beauty enthusiasts to market and sell their products). The photo was captioned with a message of empowerment that read, “She does whatever it takes to make it through one more day. She is not a sinner or a saint. She is a WOMAN, a WARRIOR, with the soul of a SURVIVOR and a heart that is in search of peace and love. Shoutout to all you FEARLESS women’s. GIRL POWER LIP SERIES LAUNCHING IN FEW MORE DAYS”.
