Director Prabu Solomon revealed the title of his upcoming Tamil film on Wednesday, Mambo. The film will star Vijay Sri Harri, the son of Vanitha Vijayakumar and Akash, and the grandson of the esteemed actor Vijayakumar.
Mambo is set to make history as the first Asian film featuring scenes with a real lion. This project marks a return for Roja Combines, the production house renowned for its past successes like Perarasu, Porkkaalam, Paattali, and Vaanchinathan, after an 18-year hiatus.
In addition to Vijay Sri Harri, the film will feature Yogi Babu, Tejaswi, and other actors. The plot is expected to center on the unique friendship between a boy and a lion, adding an intriguing layer to the story.
Prabu Solomon, known for his acclaimed films Mynaa and Kumki, which delve into the bond between humans and nature, is set to continue this theme with Mambo. Vijay Sri Harri, grandson of Vijayakumar and the son of Vanitha Vijayakumar and Akash, will take the lead role.
Roja Combines is backing this film, with D Imman composing the music and LVK Doss handling the editing. Prabhu Solomon’s son, Samuel Sanjay, will make his debut as the cinematographer. The release date for Mambo has not yet been announced.
