Actor Silambarasan, also known as STR, has begun dubbing for his role in the highly anticipated film Thug Life, which stars Kamal Haasan in a leading role.
STR shared a glimpse of his dubbing session on Instagram, posting a photo of himself in the studio. In the image, he is seen wearing headphones and either recording or listening to his lines, with the film’s title, Thug Life, visible on the screen in front of him.
Thug Life is a gangster film that marks the return of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan collaborating on a project 36 years after their iconic film Naayakan. The film was announced last year and is being produced in partnership by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant Movies, Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Film International, and Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies.
In addition to STR and Kamal Haasan, the cast includes Trisha, Nassar, and Abhirami, each playing significant roles.The film’s technical team features cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, music director A.R. Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and action directors Anbariv.
Following his appearance in Obeli Krishna’s Pathu Thala, STR is set to collaborate with Desingh Periyasamy, director of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, on his 48th film. This new project will be produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
