Shah Rukh Khan has once again made history by becoming the first Indian actor to receive a personalized gold coin from the Grevin Museum in Paris. This accolade highlights his significant impact on global culture and adds to his impressive collection of international awards. Khan, who has accumulated nearly 200 honors throughout his career, is the first Indian actor to achieve many of these milestones.
In 2011, SRK was also the first Indian actor to receive the Pyramide con Marni award from UNESCO, recognizing his charitable contributions to children’s education. Additionally, he is reportedly the only actor whose promotional material has been displayed on the Burj Khalifa. SRK celebrated his Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL 2024 victory with a visit to the iconic landmark.
Khan’s accolades extend to the film industry as well. He was the first Indian to receive the Pardo alla Carriere award at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, where his renowned 2002 film Devdas will be showcased. Furthermore, SRK has been honored with the Chubb Fellowship from Yale University, a prestigious award previously given to Nobel laureates and global leaders, in recognition of his contributions to art and philanthropy.
Among his many awards, SRK is one of the few Indian actors to have been named a Chevalier of “l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by France, celebrating his significant influence on French cultural heritage. As he continues to break new ground, Shah Rukh Khan remains a global ambassador for Indian cinema and culture.
