MagLifestyle, the renowned fashion brand known for its elegant and sophisticated designs, made a grand statement at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2024 with the launch of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, named “The Aurora.” The event was a celebration of style, glamour and the brand’s continued commitment to diversity and empowerment.
A Collection Inspired by Northern Lights
Drawing inspiration from the mesmerizing Northern lights, specifically the rare and fiery blood aurora, “The Aurora” collection encapsulates the passion and empowerment of modern women. The collection’s pieces mirror the aurora’s rayed structure, reminiscent of spears with arcs and curves that resemble fiery dragons.
One of the standout looks from the collection is an earth-tone midi knit dress, intricately designed with hand-stitched mesh waves and radiant red sequin drops. This piece embodies the essence of the aurora’s origin and serves as a true testament to MagLifestyle’s design philosophy.
Additionally, the collection features a series of lightweight chiffon pieces with ruffled details, complete with rome rib band necklines, cuffs, and waists. These pieces are versatile and perfectly suited for the style-conscious woman, offering everyday elegance.
Exploring New Territories in Menswear
MagLifestyle also ventured into new territory by incorporating ruffled tulle into its menswear pieces. This bold move breaks the barriers between traditional gender aesthetics, introducing a concept of “human wear” where masculine and feminine elements exist.
Dazzling Night Aurora-Inspired Pieces
The collection also dazzles with black dresses, jackets, and pants adorned with shimmering embellishments, evoking the brightness of the night aurora. However, the true stars of the show are the gowns, featuring fine detailing such as diamante dangling fringe, glitzy sequins, tulle petals, and 3D flower-shaped appliques made from ostrich and bird feathers.
