Online learning has been on the rise in recent years, largely due to the coronavirus wave that whipped the whole whole at its peak forcing universities and schools worldwide to shut down. This resulted in the emergence of online classes and now it has become a convenient and flexible way of continuing classroom education.
Having stated that this inquisitive person, Shivashanker Ragula has made an impressive feat by making full use of the advantages of online learning classes.
Shivashanker has successfully stamped his name in the Malaysia Book of Records for Most Online Learning Certificates Obtained By An Individual with a total of 254 certificates on 3rd June 2022.
Shivashanker managed to obtain these online learning certificates from many recognised online platforms such as BAC, Linkedin Learning, Google Garage, and HRDF while stating that his main field of interest in entrepreneurship, communication, digital marketing, and personal branding which he developed during the pandemic.
Speaking to Varnam MY, he told that he choose these specific fields as he believes that it is essential and a must-have element in someone’s life, regardless of their career.
Hailing from Klang, he mentioned that it took him approximately 3 years as he started back in Q4 2019 to collect the e-certs and now his has over 300 professional certificates.
The 36-year-old stated that the pandemic had driven him to self-excellence.
It all started after one of my favourite quotes “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” and also the mindset to change a negative situation into a positive outcome.
He said, “The pandemic was a good time for everyone to do self-reflection and an opportunity to grow from a different perspective. Personally, me being curious, I was always on the lookout to gain more knowledge.”
Apart from that, during the process of obtaining certificates, the most crucial point that he gained apart from knowledge was steady discipline and the importance of time management.
Furthermore, Shivashanker who aims to be a lifelong student and keen on learning and obtaining knowledge on a daily basis opines that it’s not the numbers that count but the opportunity to demonstrate that it is doable and the end result is fulfilling.
This diligent man remarks that his learning voyage will never stop as he will keep striving to acquire as much knowledge as he can.
Shivashanker who is currently waiting to complete his law degree said he is planning to write an e-book by sharing the knowledge he has gained in a simplified way.
“As the saying goes, the best way to be great at it is by teaching it to someone,” he concluded.
