Tony Fernandes To Venture Into Food Delivery Business Starting December 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic has severely affected the tourism and aviation industries, prompting low-cost carrier AirAsia to diversify the once booming airline into food delivery business.

Hodophiles whom love to devour food on the airplanes, you can now get it delivered right at your doorstep!

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, in an effort to sustain the airline and keep the remaining staff in their jobs is embarking into A new venture; Airasia Food. 

The new business approach by the airline is evident in Fernandes recent social media post, depicting his excitement as a full-on delivery man standing next to a motorbike all ready to deliver food from AirAsia Food right to your doorstep.

So folks, if you see Tony Fernandes ringing your doorbells, be excited! Welcome him into your home and do take a selfie with him!

The post got an immediate traffic from the public, with them flooding over the comment section, inquiring on his new unexpected venture. 

On social media, the post has gone extremely viral and most people are looking forward on having their favourite meal delivered to their homes by one of Asia’s top entrepreneur and low-cost airline revolutionary pioneer in the Asian continent.  

Airasia Food announced that,

“Unlike other food delivery platforms, Airasia Food clearly sets themselves apart with a 0% commission model, enabling merchants to power and manage their own businesses without having to pay high commission rates,” 

The new entity was formed as an effort to support local businesses and aid affiliates to survive during these trying times.

Airasia Food presently has almost 200 merchants comprising a variety of local businesses and multi-chain F&B outlets, allowing them to offer delicious meals and signature dishes through the online food delivery platform of airasiafood.com.
