Every so often, young Malaysians with unique gifts and talents come along that are so incredible they shine with a vibrancy of their own. Sometimes, a good rendition on musical instruments becomes a masterpiece in the capable hands of a fellow musician.

Keep your hats on if you’ve not heard any of these acoustic renditions by our very talented Malaysians!

Parameswara – parameswara5

There’s this one thing I find so great about the guitar. I love the fact that you can choose to be in two completely different worlds.

Parames, a very talented guitarist has brilliantly given a beautiful intro and a very slick and stylish composition throughout the melody song aptly titled Venmathi Venmathiye from the film Minnale. An all-time favourite and a fingerpicking gem. Don’t think I need to say any more on this one. Just loving the groove!

Raajachelvan Ilanchelvan – raajamusic

Raaja who is fondly known as a magical keyboardist has just wowed the audience by playing the song Amma Amma from the film Velaiilla Pattadhari (VIP). If melody tunes on piano are your thing, Raaja ’s Instagram platform will surely impress you!

This composition is a perfect example of how you can transform a song into a mind-blasting piano solo by twisting a few rules around.

Syhnthiaa  – syhnthiaa

Simply an iconic tune – and it’s played by a skillful Syhnthiaa who burst into the scene with her rendition of Kalaba Kadhala BGM from the famous movie Kaakha Kaakha. Slow ballads sound incredible on the piano, and it turns out to be perfect! This cover shows the instrument’s versatility even further.

A timeless piano line!

Gabriel Jebanesan  – jnesan17._

The acoustic takes on both melodies, Alli Pookal x Neethane by Gabriel has a ton of moving parts in it!

Even so, the acoustic guitar accompaniment shows how many of the song’s vast lode-bearing pieces are lovely and poignant in their very own right. Instead, this gently persistent melody reminds us that the moments that make us wish that “anything could ever feel this genuine forever” are usually modest, simple, and wonderful.

Daniel Selvakumar – daniel.nano28

Among the many incredible renditions on Pookal Pookum Tharunam BGM, Daniel’s take for this scene from the movie Madrasapattinam has stolen the hearts of Instagram viewers.

This rendition is extremely lovely, and the delicate piano notes mixed with the quiet backdrop rhythms will surely give you goosebumps. A tiny snippet of his piano rendition “music takes you round and round” had been sampled, giving the track its name – and a plaintive, soulful sheen.

Hema Mani Maran – hema_305

Hema, a brilliant Venai musician, could perform folk, western, light music melodies on the veena, as well as fusion music, which the audience adored the most. She has churned out super hit tunes namely Mundhinam Parthene from Vaaranam Aayiram.

The outstanding rendition has certainly left many of us stunned!

Dev – dev_1835

Dev’s majestic cover of the melody tune Nee Parthe Vizhigal from the movie Moonu on his guitar has captured the feelings of most of his Instagram followers. Each of his numerous cover versions adds a unique twist on what the artistes were feeling as their emotions were portrayed.

Soulful yet graceful.
