Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum: Women-Centric Tamil Film To Be Screened In Japan Film Festival

Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum has made its rounds in the indicine circuits and is a critically acclaimed film about the lives of 3 women in a world engulfed by patriarchy.

The film under the direction of Director Vasanth premiered at the MAMI Film Festival in October 2018 and has since been screened in several film festivals across the world. The movie boasts a star-studded cast with Parvathy Menon, Lakshmipriya and Kalieaswari in lead roles. Ironically, the women-centric film is written by 3 men named Jeyamohan, Adhavan and Ashoka Mithran.

Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum won Best Film on Gender Equality at Mumbai Film Festival in 2018 and the Best Film Award at the Bangalore International Film Festival. Now, it is all set to be screened at the Fukuoka International Film Festival, Japan. Previously, the film that is a tribute to the late K Balachander, has been screened in Chicago South Asian Film Festival, Atlanta Indian Film Festival, California Tiburon International Film Festival, New York Indian Film Festival, Sweden International Film Festival, Eurasia International Film Festival and Pune International Film Festival.
