The Dabangg star Sonu Sood is among the many celebrities reaching out to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the actor has made arrangements for migrant workers stuck in Maharashtra to reach their respective homes in Karnataka.
Sonu acquired special approvals from Karnataka and Maharashtra state governments to ensure there’s no violation of rules while the rescue mission went on. In a recent interview, he mentioned that in times of a pandemic, everyone deserved to be with their families.
Sonu previously offered rooms in his Delhi hotel to frontline workers. He has also been feeding the many underprivileged with a meal kits.
India registered 81,970 confirmed COVID-19 cases today after 3,995 more tested positive across the nation in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll stands at 2,649 with 100 more patients succumbing to the infectious disease.
Of the total 81,970, there are 51,401 active cases, according to the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
