The worrying Covid-19 cases with many outbreaks resonating from multiple clusters, has definitely increased our fear on the air-borne virus!

In an announcement made by government officials yesterday, the authorities are currently contemplating on the status of one of the country’s upcoming festivity, Deepavali!

As Deepavali is just around the corner, celebrations have already started among netizens with many bazaars being set up in every nook and corner in the country, attracting a mass number of crowd.

Hence, pertaining to this issue, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob made a declaration stating, a meeting would be held among ministers to discuss on whether there would be any Deepavali celebrations.

“In three weeks, the Indian community will be celebrating Deepavali. During previous years, there will be bazaars organised ahead of the celebrations. I believe the matter will be raised (during the daily special ministerial meeting) tomorrow or the day after. I will subsequently announce a decision whether the government will allow the celebrations to proceed or otherwise after the matter has been discussed.”

Despite the daunting escalating Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, localites are still buzzing up the Deepavali bazaars that are spreading in every state as their one stop shopping center.

This is becoming a serious worrying matter, as it may lead to an outbreak especially due to the on going ‘Super- Spreader Event”.

In addition to that, a report in India has stated that Covid-19 cases in the country could spike up to 7 million entirely due to the upcoming Deepavali festive!

This is definitely a thought to ponder folks! I believe, the only matter that has to be taken into consideration on the rising pandemic, is our life and the life of our dear ones.

We shall not jeopardise our health with the deadly virus solely due to the need for having a jolly good time as we usher in the celebration of lights.

What is your take on this folks? Do share your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
