Part 1: Great Spots Outside Of The Ever Bustling KL To Spend The Weekend Away

Why not plan your weekend vacation itinerary?

Hey peeps! Do you guys have any plans for the upcoming weekend?

Since your weekdays are so busy, most of you would definitely want a quick vacation. However, you have no idea what to do or where to go? Don’t worry, we are here to help.

Here are some choices for short weekend trips not too far from KL.

Bukit Tinggi 

Ever longed to visit France? No worries, it’s only a one-hour drive from KL City. Haha…just kidding. Travel here to see the vibrant Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills.

This French-style village, which is located in Bentong’s lush rainforest and is built after the French town of Colmar from the 16th century, is interesting to visit. There are a lot of rooms and suites available, ideal for family vacation for the weekend.

Port Dickson

Thoughts for a last-minute weekend getaway may not always come to mind, in that case, this spot is ideal. You can leave the chaos of KL City behind with just a 1 hour 15 minutes drive time.

Bring along lunch and snacks so you can laze by the beach. If you love adventure, take part in a variety of water sports like jet skiing and banana boating. Even better, you can enjoy the sun all day at this resort-lined beach that is great for families.

Sekinchan

Take a short hour’s drive to Kuala Selangor if you want to experience living around the paddy fields. There are several attractions and activities in the area, ranging from a 3D art gallery to the well-known sky mirror beach, that you shouldn’t miss.

Genting Highlands

This is the place if you want to dwindle into another dimension! It is obvious why this spot is known as the City of Entertainment because there are so many things to see and do. An hour’s drive from KL City will get you to their indoor theme parks, Genting Premium Outlets, and a cable car ride with a breathtaking view. Particularly, their brand-new outdoor theme park is great to visit because it offers a variety attractions that will make you forget about reality. Bring your coats with you, should the weather get a little bit chilly.

Hulu Langat 

Consider travelling to Hulu Langat, the land of paradise, if you prefer outdoor retreats. Just 30 minutes by car will get you to KL City from the district in southeast Selangor.

The finest place to get away from the busy city, with its wonderful private villas and homestays you may stay in especially insta-worthy places like Rumah Kebun and Tanah Larwina, if you’re travelling with family or friends.
