In the Tambun constituency, five Tamil schools are currently in operation. R. Suresh Kumar, Special Officer to the Prime Minister for the Tambun constituency, announced that all necessary items for students enrolling in Standard 1 at Tamil schools in Tambun this year will be provided free of charge. He shared this news during the prize-giving ceremony at SJKT Ladang Changkat Kinding, aiming to support education and ease the burden on parents.

This announcement has been welcomed as a New Year’s gift for the Indian community in the Tambun constituency. R. Suresh Kumar encouraged parents to make the most of this valuable opportunity by enrolling their children in standard 1 at Klebang, Sathya Seela, Tanjong Rambutan, Chemor Estate, and Changkat Kinding Tamil schools.

In addition, youths under the age of 40 in the Tambun constituency will receive financial assistance to pursue diploma and degree courses, allowing them to continue their education free of charge. Last year, five individuals enrolled and are currently studying at the Open University, while seven have registered so far this year. R. Suresh Kumar highlighted the importance of increasing participation and encouraged those interested to reach out to the Tambun Constituency Service Centre for further details.

He added that the Pongal festival is scheduled to be celebrated next week. In anticipation of the event, the Prime Minister has conveyed his warm Pongal greetings to the people of the constituency.

To date, the Tambun Parliamentary Constituency has provided funding for sports and prize-giving ceremony for the five Tamil schools in the area. Furthermore, land has been allocated for fields at two of these schools, he added.

This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for Indian parents in the Tambun constituency to make use of the support provided for their children’s education. By enrolling their children in Tamil schools, they not only ensure a quality education but also contribute to the development of the nation. Tamil school students have consistently excelled in academics and other activities, showcasing their potential and talent. This effort to support their education will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping a brighter future for both the community and the country as a whole.
