Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, the operator behind Rapid KL bus services and MRT feeder buses, has announced the launch of four new routes for its Rapid KL On-Demand service, starting February 1.

In a statement released today, the company shared details of the new routes: T650B (Taman Desa to Jalan Klang Lama), T850B (Bangsar LRT to Taman Bandaraya), T512B (Putrajaya Sentral MRT to Precinct 11), and T250B (Taman Genting Setapak to Setapak).

The T850B (Bangsar LRT to Taman Bandaraya) and T512B (Putrajaya Sentral MRT to Precinct 11) routes will be directly linked to Rapid KL rail services. This integration plays a vital role in allowing Rapid KL users to seamlessly continue their journeys across the rail and bus networks.

The T650B (Taman Desa to Jalan Klang Lama) and T250B (Taman Genting Setapak to Setapak) routes will utilize bus lanes along Jalan Klang Lama and Jalan Genting Kelang. This arrangement enables passengers to transition smoothly between these routes and other Rapid KL bus services, and vice versa, according to the statement.

In the same statement, Rapid Bus Acting Chief Executive Officer Ku Jamil Zakaria stated that the new service would help shorten passengers’ average waiting time.

“We will continue to operate Rapid KL bus services in these areas, while the new Rapid KL On-Demand service will enhance accessibility with more flexible stops. Passengers can also expect shorter waiting times, averaging around 10 minutes,” he said.

With the introduction of these four new routes, Rapid Bus aims to enhance connectivity, improve accessibility, and provide a more efficient commuting experience for passengers. By integrating with existing rail services and optimizing bus operations, the Rapid KL On-Demand service underscores the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of public transport users.
