The growth of Tamil literature in Malaysia relies on the emergence of new writers who can contribute to its richness and diversity. In particular, Tamil school teachers, who play a vital role in preserving and nurturing the language, should make a meaningful impact in the field of writing. Recognizing this need, the Kuil Jayabakti Foundation has taken the initiative to publish the literary works of Tamil school teachers, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent and inspire future generations.

Datuk K. Selvaraju urged teachers to step forward and contribute to the creation of high-quality literary works.

“Rather than focusing on what you may gain from writing a book, take the initiative to develop your skills and unlock your full potential,” he encouraged.

Fostering a strong reading culture will naturally lead to an increase in book sales.

Guided by the inspiring slogan, “Read every day, learn everyday; reading is our breath,” (Naalum Theriye, Naalum Padippom; Vaasippu Nam Suvasippu) the Kuil Jayabakti Foundation has been dedicated to promoting Tamil literature for over 50 years and continues its unwavering service to the Tamil language.

It is noteworthy that the book launch and appreciation ceremony for Tamil school teachers, who have emerged as new writers in the literary field, took place yesterday in a grand manner at the Kuil Jayabakti Hall.

The efforts of the Kuil Jayabakti Foundation in nurturing new Tamil writers, especially Tamil school teachers, are vital for the growth and preservation of Tamil literature in Malaysia. Through their support, these teachers have been given a platform to showcase their talents and contribute to the cultural and literary landscape. The successful book launch and appreciation ceremony mark a significant milestone in this journey, inspiring future generations to embrace the power of words and creativity.
