Shankar's 'Indian 3': Financial Troubles Leave the Sequel's Future Uncertain

Kamal Haasan first collaborated with renowned director Shankar in 1996 for the film Indian, which became a groundbreaking success across India. Praised for its compelling narrative and stellar performances, the film left a lasting impact on Indian cinema. Nearly 28 years later, the much-anticipated sequel, Indian 2, finally hit the screens, carrying immense expectations. However, despite the hype, the film received a lukewarm response, with audiences expressing mixed reactions. According to a report from Asianet Tamil, financial complications may lead to the indefinite postponement of Indian 3. However, the production team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.

Notably, during the promotions of Indian 2, Kamal Haasan shared that he personally found the third installment more engaging than its predecessor.
