The theme reflects Astro’s commitment to unity, inclusion, and diversity, reminding Malaysians that Deepavali is a shared celebration that shines brightest when experienced together.
This year, Astro has curate a vibrant festive line-up across it’s platforms. On Demand, Astro GO, and sooka, featuring 67 local and international premieres, engaging on-ground events, musical collaborations, and community-driven initiatives that encapsulate the joy and harmony of Deepavali.
A Celebration of Togetherness and Culture
Astro’s Ithu Namma Kondattam festivities include exclusive premieres, interactive events, and special radio programs that blend entertainment with meaningful cultural appreciation. The official Deepavali anthem, Ithu Namma Kondattam, composed by Santesh and sung by Santesh, Maria Thomas, Pridha, Kay-D, Zaddy and Shanjanaa Rajendran, captures the festival’s cheerful essence. The song is available for streaming on Joox, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Deezer.

Listeners can also tuned in to RAAGA radio for it’s festive specials, including an exclusive Deepavali song, Attam Pattam Deepavali, composed by Krish K and sung by Krish K alongside Kathir RAAGA, featuring a high-energy rap by Daya K.

A Milestone Collaboration: Astro x RTM
This Deepavali marks a historic milestone for Malaysia’s broadcasting industry as Astro and RTM collaborate for the first time to co-produce Titikkum Deepavali Kondattam 2025, a grand festive concert that celebrates music, unity, and culture.

Deputy Minister of Communications YB Teo Nie Ching shared her thoughts by saying, “Deepavali is a festival that reminds us of the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over misconception, and unity over division. This year’s Deepavali celebration is especially meaningful for us in the Ministry of Communications. For the very first time, RTM and Astro have joined hands in an unprecedented collaboration to co-produce a grand Deepavali concert, Titikkum Deepavali Kondattam 2025. Additionally, our two Tamil Radio Stations, Raaga and MINNALfm’s radio announcers shared the stage side by side. I want to commend both RTM and Astro for their vision and extend my deepest appreciation to the artists, crew and organisers. I am confident that this will stand as a proud milestone for our broadcasting industry. Wishing everyone a joyful, bright, and meaningful Deepavali.”
