Several major roads and highways in the capital will be closed gradually from 26 to 28 October in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit to be held in the city centre.
Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, said that his department will deploy 1,111 traffic personnel, consisting of 91 officers and 1,020 members, throughout the duration of the summit.

Jalan Sultan Ismail
Jalan P. Ramlee
Jalan Pinang
Jalan Binjai
Persiaran KLCC
Jalan Tun Razak
Jalan Parliament
Jalan Bukit Bintang
Jalan Imbi
Jalan Damansara
Jalan Istana
Jalan Kuching
Jalan Perak
Key intersections expected to be affected include:
Jalan Ampang – Jalan P. Ramlee
Jalan Sultan Ismail – Jalan P. Ramlee
Jalan Perak – Jalan P. Ramlee
Jalan Perak – Jalan Pinang
Jalan Stonor – Jalan Kia Peng
Jalan Stonor – Persiaran KLCC

Additionally, routes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Subang to the city centre as well as Putrajaya Link 9Lingkaran Putrajaya) and Klia Expressway will also undergo temporary closures to allow official convoys to pass.
The highways involved include:
Maju Expressway (MEX)
North–South Expressway (PLUS) — from Sungai Buloh to Jalan Duta
ELITE (KLIA–Putrajaya)
NKVE (from Subang to Jalan Duta)
Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE)
KL–Seremban Expressway (Sungai Besi to city centre)
The public is advised to avoid these routes and use public transports during the summit. Heavy vehicles are also prohibited from entering the city centre during peak times of the conference.
Cooperation from all parties is urged in order to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic over three day event. Updates on the road closures will be released time to time and the public may check the official ASEAN 2025 portal or the official ASEANmy Facebook page for the latest information.
