K. Muniandy, aged 64, from Negeri Sembilan, has been officially sworn in as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia. This appointment represents a significant milestone in his esteemed legal career.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Palace of Justice, presided over by the President of the Court of Appeal, Datuk Abu Bakar Jais.

Muniandy holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Master of Laws from the University of Malaya. He began his legal career in 1980 as a Federal Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC). Throughout his career, he has held various important positions, including magistrate, deputy public prosecutor, deputy head of the AGC’s Prosecution Division (Policy), and Director of the Legal Profession Qualifying Board.

In 2019, he was appointed as a Judicial Commissioner and confirmed as a High Court Judge in 2022. Prior to his elevation, he served at the Kuala Lumpur Court (Criminal Division 2).
His appointment to the Court of Appeal is a testament to his dedication, experience, and contributions to the Malaysian judiciary over four decades.
