On November 8, Paparaidu A/L Veraman, a member of the Selangor State Executive Council, handed over the 2025 state government’s school bus fare assistance to Tamil school students in Selangor. The event took place at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Jubilee Hall.
The event was attended by Zuraini Harun, the Assistant Director of the Selangor State Economic Planning Department. In his speech, Paparaidu emphasized that no community is left behind in Selangor’s development agenda, and the assistance provided is a prime example of this commitment.

He specifically highlighted that various schemes have been planned and implemented for the upliftment of the Indian community in Selangor, particularly in education, economy, and social aspects, enabling them to strive harder for progress.

Throughout the year, numerous aid programs have been launched for the Indian community, including a RM1.2 million allocation for Indian students pursuing higher studies, a RM4.43 million allocation for the Deepavali shopping voucher scheme, and a RM5 million allocation for upgrading and enhancing facilities at Tamil schools.
Additionally, the school bus fare assistance program aims to help parents alleviate their financial burden. A total of RM1,034,100 has been distributed to 3,447 students from 98 Tamil schools across the state.
