Education for Empowerment: Siragugal Empowers Indian Students Through SPM Seminar

Siragugal, a youth led non-governmental organization dedicated to uplift community through education and youth development. On November 9, 2025, Siragugal successfully organized the SPM Seminar Series 2: History & Science, in collaboration with Selangor Indian Community Leader Mr. Siva Krishnan, MBSJ Zon 18, and the management committee of the Sri Maha Maheswari Kaliamman temple.

The seminar, held at Sri Maha Maheswari Kaliamman Aalayam Hall, Batu 14, Puchong, gathered 60 Form 4 and Form 5 students for an engaging and educational session. The programme featured two experienced facilitators, Mr. Kalai (History) and Ms. Subha (Science), who delivered interactive and insightful lessons, equipping students with effective study strategies, last-minute revision tips, and renewed confidence in facing their upcoming SPM examinations.

Representing YB Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Council Member and ADUN Kinrara, Selangor State Council Member Tuan Mehanathan attended the event and commended Siragugal’s continued efforts in empowering the Indian community through education.

“We at Siragugal truly believe that education is the strongest tool to uplift our society and shape a better future for our Indian community,” said Siragugal President, Mr. Kabilan Murugaiah.

Siragugal expressed their sincere gratitude to YB Ng Sze Han, Tuan Mehanathan, Mr Siva Krishnan, Mr. M.K. Muthu, the Temple Management Committee, as well as all Siragugal committee members and volunteers for their steadfast dedication and contribution toward the success of the programme.

The SPM Seminar Series 2 marks another milestone in Siragugal’s continuous commitment to educational empowerment. The organization plans to introduce more impactful initiatives in the coming year, focusing on holistic student development, UPU guidance, and career-building programmes to nurture the next generation of Indian youth.
