The Program Anak Kita (PAK) Gallery Exhibition was held at the Malaysian Parliament from November 11 to 12, 2025. This event served as a reminder of how empathy, data, and collaboration can transform the nation’s education landscape and marked the conclusion of the first phase of implementation for PAK. It highlighted the success of the “Whole of Nation” approach in addressing learning gaps, preventing student dropouts, and supporting thousands of students to achieve meaningful progress across Malaysia.
Program Anak Kita (PAK) is a collaborative initiative launched in September 2024 by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF). The program is led by Unit Pantau Madani in collaboration with Yayasan Hasanah. The programme consists of three targeted initiatives: PAK 3M, PAK SPM, and Program Murid Cicir, supporting over 83,000 students nationwide by addressing key challenges in foundational learning, preparing students for SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) examinations, and dropout prevention.
The event was attended by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Health Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Haji Dzulkefly Ahmad, Mohd Khalid bin Mohamed Latif, Director of Unit Pantau MADANI, and Siti Kamariah binti Ahmad Subki, Managing Director of Yayasan Hasanah. Several members of parliament also participated, taking the opportunity to engage with students and teachers, particularly those from SK Ampang Campuran, which is part of the PAK 3M programme.
A Data Driven Journey of Hope
Through interactive dashboards and storytelling displays, visitors witnessed the transformative journey of PAK across 2,500 schools. From measurable progress in reading, writing and arithmetic (3M) skills to increased SPM pass rates, the programme demonstrates how evidence-based strategies can create real and lasting change.
As of May 2025, 15,543 students have successfully transitioned from remedial classes back into mainstream education which is a remarkable 29% improvement under PAK 3M. Meanwhile, under PAK SPM, 89% of the 2024 cohort successfully obtained their SPM certificates ensuring brighter futures for nearly 9,000 students.
Collaboration at the Heart of Progress
The exhibition also celebrated the collective effort behind the initiative which is the collaboration between the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Finance (MOF), Unit Pantau MADANI, Yayasan Hasanah, public universities, and civil society partner. Together they have proven that the “Whole of Nation” approach is not merely a slogan but a proof that involvement from many can uplift communities through education.
“Program Anak Kita (PAK) shows how data-driven policies anchored in empathy can transform lives,” shared Puan Siti Kamariah Ahmad Subki, Managing Director of Yayasan Hasanah. “It’s about ensuring every child, regardless of background has the opportunity to thrive.”
Looking Ahead: Program Anak Kita 2.0
As PAK moves into its next phase in 2026, the focus will shift toward innovation in teaching and learning, stronger community-school partnerships, and sustained impact through data-backed interventions. The upcoming Program Anak Kita 2.0 aims to strengthen educational inclusivity, ensuring no child is left behind, in spirit or opportunity.
The gallery exhibition isn’t just a showcase of results; it’s a national conversation that reaffirms Malaysia’s commitment to holistic, compassionate, and equitable education under the Ekonomi MADANI framework.
