The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) has reaffirmed it’s commitment to accelerating the digital transformation of Indian entrepreneurs, positioning technology as the driving force behind a mora dynamic and competitive business community.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said KLSICCI, an organization established in 1928 with more than 1,000 direct members and 30,000 indirect members has long played a crucial role in supporting and strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“KLSICCI has set a vision for 2026 to embark on a transformational journey towards empowering, facilitating, upscaling, modernising, digitalising and upskilling Indian entrepreneurs”, Gobind said in a speech delivered at the 2025 KLSICCI Deepavali Open House. The speech was read on his behalf by political secretary Michelle Ng Mei Sze, who is also Subang Jaya state assemblyman.
Preparing Entrepreneurs for the AI Era
Gobind said the organisation’s digital-forward vision aligns with Malaysia’s own push to prepare local businesses for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era.
“This will certainly help create a vibrant and dynamic business community and we are glad that KLSICCI is ready to help our Indian entrepreneurs evolve in this AI era”, he said
The minister emphasised that the government remains committed to ensuring all businesses including MSMEs, can thrive in a rapidly growing digital economy. Key national initiatives include the Digital Adoption Grant, the National Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence, and the AI for Rakyat programme. Malaysia is also targeting the development of 900 AI start-ups and 30,000 AI talents by 2026.

Collaboration to Boost Digital Access
Gobind added that strategic collaboration between government agencies and business chambers such as KLSICCI is essential in enabling wider digital access for entrepreneurs.
Such partnership support, digital training, E-commerce platform development, cybersecurity awareness, and AI-based business solutions. These initiatives are aimed at equipping entrepreneurs, particularly those in the Indian business community, with the tools needed to stay competitive and resilient amid rapid technological change.
A Future-Ready Entrepreneurial Community
With KLSICCI’s vision aligned with national digital ambitions, the organisation hopes to guide thousands of entrepreneurs through digitalisation efforts, and upskilling programmes and AI-driven opportunities.
