The Budimas Charitable Foundation marked a landmark year of impact as it hosted it’s 7th Night of a Thousand Blessings, a Christmas Charity Ball dedicated to supporting underprivileged and Orang Asli children nationwide. Held at W Kuala Lumpur, the black-tie fundraiser gathered more than 400 guests, corporate partners, and supporters, successfully raising RM687, 833 to strengthen the foundation’s child-focused programmes across Malaysia.
The evening underscored a major milestone of Budimas: the successful delivery of 1.1 million free breakfasts in 2025 to primary school children under the Budimas Food Charity Fund (BFCF). The initiative ensures that thousands of children, many from rural and low-income communities, begin their school day with nutritious meals to boost concentration, classroom engagement, and overall wellbeing.
“How children are treated is the core energy behind Budimas. It is the powerhouse that drives our mission, and the fundamental root of our passion,” said Y.M. Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra, Chairman of The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
A Night of Giving, Powered by Corporate Support
Budimas extended it’s appreciation to it’s long-standing corporate sponsors whose contributions made the evening’s achievements possible. The foundation acknowledged support from EQT Group, Hasani Group, Farm Fresh Berhad, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, Omniraise Sdn Bhd, Maaedicare Charitable Foundation, MAA Group, United U-Li Corporation Berhad, Unitrade Industries Berhad, educational institutions, and numerous other partners who continue to champion it’s mission.
Programmes Driving Nationwide Impact
Budima’s work spans several key focus areas:
- Budimas Home Charity Fund (BHCF): Supports 40 registered children’s homes, providing safe environments for over 2,000 displaced or abandoned children.
- Budimas Food Charity Fund (BFCF): Provides free breakfasts to more than 6,000 students in 196 schools. Budimas targets 1.25 million meals in 2026, with added focus on rural and Orang Asli schools.

- Budimas Children Medical Care Fund (BCMCF): Supports life-saving surgeries and critical treatments through partnerships with major hospitals.

New Initiatives: Empowering Youth and Girls
In 2025, Budimas expanded its outreach with two new programmes:
- Project Impianmu: Provides educational support and fully funded university scholarships for high-performing Orang Asli youth with limited accesses to tertiary education.
- Project Melur: A girl-focused health education programme that has reached 500 girls across 25 welfare homes, teaching body awareness and self-protection.
A Call for Collective Compassion
The Night of a Thousands Blessings once again affirmed the power of community in transforming children’s lives. With the funds raised and programs expanded, Budimas continues it’s mission to build a Malaysia where every child, regardless of background has access to food, education, healthcare, and opportunity.
