The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has announced plans to improve KTM Komuter services on the Seremban to Kuala Lumpur route, aiming to shorten journey times and reduce commuter delays.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the ministry will review and revise train timetables \, with further discussions scheduled after the Chinese New Year holidays to finalise improvements. Many passengers on the route have reported trips taking up to two hours, significantly longer than expected.

Anthony Loke explained that ongoing track upgrade works along the line have contributed to delays, as certain sections have been limited to a single track. This has affected train flow and schedule reliability, reducing overall service efficiency for daily commuters.
The minister, who is also Member of Parliament for Seremban, noted that construction at Seremban Railway Station including the development of a new station has caused inconvenience to passengers. He appealed for public understanding, saying that the upgraded facilities, expected to be completed in about a year, will offer greater comfort for travellers.

In addition, efforts are underway to explore ways to accelerate progress on the Klang Valley Double Track Electrification Phase 2 (KVDT2) project, which remains on schedule. Loke highlighted that the nature of working on live tracks where one track is operational while construction continues on the other and strict safety protocols, naturally slow the pace of work.
