Facilities such as the Urban Transformation Centres continues providing important services, including the Immigration Department of Malaysia and the police.

The impact of the policy is visibly noticeable, In Putrajaya, Malaysia’s administrative capital, as fewer people in government buildings as many officers work remotely. Most premises are operating in a low-power mode with reduced life usage and dim lights, reflecting the effort to conserve energy with the global concerns.

Civil Servants have adapted to the new arraignment quickly. According to Azlina Suliman, from Accountant General’s Department Malaysia, structured workflows and digital systems to ensure productivity remains consistent. She said that officers are required to log their tasks, check in regularly online and use secure system like virtual private networks (VPNs) so that tasks continue with no disruption.
