Starting today, secondary school students and students enrolled in public universities are eligible to redeem their RM100 MADANI Book Voucher. The vouchers are available as e-vouchers, which can be conveniently accessed and redeemed online. Students have until October 31, 2026, to utilise their vouchers, so they are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their learning experience.
What is the MADANI Book Voucher and Who is Eligible?
The MADANI Book Voucher is a government initiative designed to help students purchase reading materials and promote a stronger reading culture among young Malaysians.
A total of 2,217,579 students under the Ministry of Education (MOE) are eligible for the voucher. This includes all secondary school students and students at public universities (IPTAs) nationwide, who will receive a RM100 book voucher.

This year’s programme also introduces the MADANI Special Title Focus, which features literary classics, history, philosophy, economics, geopolitics, human capital development, as well as books related to artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and digitalisation. Every recipient is required to purchase at least one book from this special category.
How Can Students Redeem the Voucher?
The RM100 voucher can be redeemed entirely online through the BookCapital platform beginning at 10am on July 1, with the redemption period ending on October 31, 2026. Students can browse books from more than 1,200 registered booksellers on the platform before completing their purchases using the digital voucher.

The Ministry of Education switched to a fully digital system in 2024 to improve transparency and prevent misuse of physical vouchers. The online platform also allows students living in rural and remote areas to enjoy the same access to books through nationwide delivery services.
The government says the MADANI Book Voucher is more than just financial assistance, it is an investment in education and lifelong learning. According to the Ministry of Education, the programme achieved a 100 per cent redemption rate in 2024, while surveys found that the vouchers helped students, particularly those from lower-income families, prepare for examinations and access quality reading materials.
By continuing the initiative in 2026, the government hopes to nurture a stronger reading culture and ensure every student, regardless of where they live, has equal opportunities to learn and expand their knowledge.
