Pahang fitness trainer K.Jey Prabakaran Thevar created another achievement after setting a new world record for the longest non-stop cardio and weightlifting workout.
The 29-year-old from Kuala Lipis finished a 18-hour workout at a gym on 28th June 2026, which got him recognition from Malaysia Book of Records and the Influencer Book of World Records.
This marks Jey Prabakaran’s 3rd major record. He first made history by completing a 12-hour non-stop cardio workout in 2023, before extending it to 15 hours. This got him recognition from the Guiness World Records.
His latest challenge started at 4AM and ended around 11PM, which requires a strong physical endurance, mental strength, and determination. Jey Prabakaran, known as “Dr Kjey”, said staying focused in the attempt was one of the biggest challenges, especially with the judges monitoring closely to ensure all the record requirements were met.
Later on, he said the challenge was more manageable, especially after his friends from the gym joined him in the evening. They encouraged him which helped Jey to stay motivated and complete the record-breaking feat.
He dedicated the record to his late father, Kunasigaran Suppiya Thevar, who passed away when Jey was 3 years old. He explained that the accomplishment is a tribute to his father, believing his support has always been with him throughout the journey.
He also expressed his appreciation to his family, friends, and supporters who was with him during the crucial times, especially when others doubted if he could succeed.
Jey Prabakaran hopes his achievement will inspire more Malaysians, and youngsters to pursue their goals with discipline, perseverance and hard work. Jey is now already getting prepared for his next challenge. He is now aiming to complete 5,000 jumping jacks in 5 hours during the Pahang-level National Sports Day celebration in October.
