Johnnie Walker has launched its new Johnnie Walker Blue Label Festive Blend in Malaysia, a limited-edition Scotch whisky inspired by the vibrant flavours, culture and festive spirit of India.
Created specifically for the festive season, the new expression brings together exceptional Scotch whisky craftsmanship and contemporary Indian design. The launch also marks the second year of the brand’s creative collaboration with acclaimed Indian couturier Rahul Mishra, continuing their shared appreciation for craftsmanship, creativity and design.
Crafted by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, the Festive Blend features some of the rarest whiskies from the brand’s extensive reserves of more than 10 million ageing casks. According to the brand, only one in every 10,000 casks possesses the remarkable depth of flavour required for Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Inspired by the harmony of Indian cuisine, the blend was developed to complement dishes characterised by a balance of spice, sweetness and aromatic complexity. It features layered notes of cardamom, saffron, rosewater and bright citrus, alongside honeyed richness, chocolate-dipped fruit, warm spices and a gentle touch of smoke.
Dr Emma Walker said the artistry of Indian cuisine inspired the creation of the blend, particularly the way bold spices are balanced with elegance and depth. She explained that aromatic notes of cardamom, clove and cinnamon were layered with smooth sweetness to create an expression that complements the richness of India’s festive table.
Beyond savoury dishes, the blend’s layered sweetness and warm spice notes also make it a pairing option for festive desserts, offering a different way to enjoy the whisky throughout celebratory gatherings.
The festive expression continues Johnnie Walker’s partnership with Rahul Mishra, who brings his contemporary design perspective to the limited-edition release. Reflecting on the collaboration, Mishra highlighted the importance of emotion, generosity and togetherness during India’s festive season, adding that true luxury lies in preserving craftsmanship while creating lasting memories.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Festive Blend will be available in Malaysia from November 2026, while stocks last.
