Vishnu Vishal starrer Ratsasan, a crime-thriller which had hit the screens last year, was declared a blockbuster hit. It was directed by Ramkumar of Mundasupatti fame.
The film was recently honoured with four awards at the Los Angeles Film Awards. It was felicitated with ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Thriller’, ‘Best Score (Feature)’ and ‘Best Actor’.
Music composer Ghibran, who has now won the Best Original Score award at the ‘East Europe International Film Festival 2019’ (which is part of Fusion International Film Festivals) that was held in Warsaw recently.
Ratsasan was a critically acclaimed film with a good box office collection speaking for its success. Produced by G Dilli Babu, the film also stars Radha Ravi, Kaali Venkat, Saravanan, Yasar, Abhirami, Ramdoss, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan and Usha those in the supporting roles.
Despite being a violent film about a police officer’s chase to catch a serial killer, the film has worked big time with multiplex audiences and is now all set to be remade in other languages.
The film was remade in Telugu under the title Rakshasudu. Bellamkonda Sreenivas played the lead role in this psychological thriller directed by Ramesh Varma. It had Anupama Parameswaran playing the female lead with Abhirami, Vinodhini, Suzane George, Kasi Viswanath and others in supporting roles. Ghibran had set the tunes for this flick with Venkat C. Dilip doing the cinematography and Amar Reddy handling the editing. The film was produced by Satyanarayana Koneru under his banner A Studio.
The film is all set to be remade in Hindi. Ayushmann Khurrana is to be the preferred choice to play the lead role in the remake but nothing has been finalised as yet.
