Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2, starring Dhanush has finally completed its production stages. Besides Dhanush, the film also stars Tovino Thomas, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna, Robo Shankar and Sai Pallavi as the female lead. If you’re wondering what happened to Kajal Agarwal? Well, does it really matter? It’s not like she had a meaty role to play in the first movie.
Sai Pallavi is a relatively fresh face, having only broken into the industry in 2015 working on some Malayalam and Telugu films. However, she did win the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu in 2017, which suggests that she could be given an important role to play in this movie, as opposed to just being the hot chick who dances.

It is reported that Maari 2 will be hitting the big screens at the end of the year. Besides Maari 2, Dhanush is also starring in Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai and Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota.
