On 16th February, the 24-year-old shuttler who hails from Seremban had a brilliant win on the first set of matches.

Kisona, the 64th-ranked player in the world, defeated Aakarshi Kashyap in three sets, with scores of 21-16,18-21, and 21-16.

The excellent performance of Kisona and other Malaysian players has enabled Malaysia to advance to the semi-finals of the Asian Team Badminton Championship (BATC) 2022 as the Group Y champion.

In addition, the victory achieved against the Indian team by our national players has managed to ensure that Malaysia booked a slot for the Uber Cup 2022 competition which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand that will be held in May.

Congratulations on your victory and good luck with your upcoming matches, Kisona!
