Dr. Subramaniam Receives Outstanding Innovators Award From Singapore Ministry of Education

The Vice President of Association of Science Technology and Innovation (ASTI), Dr. Subramaniam Gurusamy has made our homeland proud by receiving the Outstanding Innovators Award 2019 by the Singapore Ministry of Education. 

Known as a dedicated teacher, Dr Subramaniam has carried out his industry research projects to enhance the students knowledge, laboratory skills, and trained over 40 students in invention projects. Apart from that, he has been a pillar for the students by helping them in the filed of Science & Technology and also coaching primary students to bag awards at the international level. 

One of his fabulous accomplishments will include the method he implemented to increase the safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine extracts, economical extraction protocols to achieve high yields of desired products, and numerous industry projects, patents and publications.

To date, Dr Subra plays an important role at ASTI, where he trains teachers to create a better environment for their students and also be the jury for the entire process of the Science Fair for Young Children (SFYC).  Beyond his work in Science and Technology, he has been continuously contributing towards the development of our community primarily in the education front. 

ASTI is a group of teachers, scientists, industry experts, many who are dedicated to improving the scientific community’s role in encouraging the nation’s kids to pursue and excel in science. In addition, it also aims to leverage Science, Technology, and Innovation for human progress and environmental conservation.
