The first launch comprises four flows namely Indie Dreams, Flashback, Conversation Starter, and Folkadelic. Indie Dreams is driven by indigo block print craft with easy comfort styling. While Flashback is a salute to the retro style made new again. Conversation Starter is all about being fun and playful, and Folkadelic is an ode to some of the original madras plaid weaves in beautiful yarn dyes and celebrating colors in the best possible way.

FabNu Brand Identity

FabNu is a sub-brand of FabIndia, its is a brand rooted in India but has an indispensable global reach and appeal to a wide range of consumers. The ‘n’ flows into the ‘U’ to represent movement. The millennial consumer is not only always on the move physically but is also constantly striving to level up, evolve, and grow. The flower represents growth, as well as the blossoming beauty of YOU and respecting individuality.

The Tag Line – Unapologetically You

Capturing the spirit of an entire generation, the concept celebrates individuality and belief in one’s self. “Staying true to the brand image, FabIndia is known for comfort and elegance. It’s a brand highly recommended for all genders and age groups. We are truly excited to bring FabNu to Malaysia and believe it will appeal to our local market across all genres and cultures” quoted Datin Manjari, Director of FabIndia Malaysia.

“The main difference between FabIndia and FabNu will be the design whereby the former is more Indian and the latter is more Western. Nonetheless, the standards and quality of the garments are still very much on par. In a nutshell, its good quality craftsmanship, affordable and stylish” concluded Datin Manjari.

About FabIndia -The Story that beholds this 60-year-old Brand

Founded in 1960 Fabindia started out as a home furnishings export company. The first Fabindia retail store was opened in Greater Kailash, New Delhi in 1976 and is still one of our flagship stores. By the early eighties, Fabindia was already known for garments made from handwoven and hand-printed fabrics.

The non-textile range was added in 2000, while organic foods, which formed a natural extension of Fabindia’s commitment to traditional techniques and skills, were added in 2004, with personal care products following in 2006. Handcrafted jewellery was introduced in 2008.

Today, with a pan-India presence, Fabindia is the largest private platform for products that derive from traditional crafts and knowledge. A large proportion of these is sourced from villages across India where the company works closely with the artisans, providing various inputs including design, quality control, access to finance, and raw materials. Encouraging good craftsmanship and supporting the communities that continue such traditions are central to Fabindia’s philosophy. Fabindia’s endeavour is to bring customers a choice of products and lifestyle that offers an alternative to the mass-produced while creating sustainable livelihoods in the rural sector.
