It is essential to recognise the efforts of all educators who impart a wealth of knowledge to their students as doing so, it encourages their ongoing involvement and affirmation.
With that being said, Anuthra Sirisena was conferred as the winner of the Malaysia Teacher Prize Winner 2022. Hailing from SMJK Chung Hwa Tenom Sabah, Anuthra is known as one of the founders of Tenom Innovation Centre which provided 40 training sessions which has enhanced the skills of over 2000 teachers and students.
On the other hand, the ambassador of Concerned UM Indian Graduates (CUMIG), Dr. Shyielathy Teaching IDEAS For Special Needs has made the nation proud by emerging as the Top 10 finalist for Malaysia Teacher Prize 2022.
To top it up, Dr Shyielathy has also contributed a lot to the graduates through her involvement in CUMIG. To date, she has been providing guidance services through the CUMIG POST-GRAD Mentorship program series since 2019. Her consultations and mentor services include tutoring in the application aspects for Federal Training Prize (HLP), Part-Time or Part-Time Federal Training Award (HLPS) and Fully Paid Study Leave Without Scholarship (CBBP TB).
Congratulations Anuthra Sirisena and Dr Shyielathy. We hope you will continue to inspire other teachers whilst maintaining teaching a vocation to be proud of!
