International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day brings attention to the women’s rights movement, gender equality issues, women’s reproductive rights, women’s achievements in various fields, and violence and abuse against women.

Every year, Varnam Malaysia celebrates this glorious day by giving shout out to all the astonishing feats by our Malaysian Women. This year, the author has curated a fantastic list to honour Malaysian Indian women who become the “FIRST” to accomplish amazing feats and set records, bringing honour to our nation.
