11th World Tamil Research Conference Happening In Malaysia Once Again

The World Tamil Conference is a series of conferences conducted in different places within a number of years. The initial aim of this conference is to unite the Tamil people from all over the world who shares the same mother language through this platform, to enrich the language among the society and to present the heritage of the language to today’s generation. Despite over growth and evolution in this modern world, one should never forget their mother language as its their identity and where they were origin from. We are learning multiple language in order to communicate with people from other races as we are living in a multi racial country and its for enhancement in getting better opportunities. But, our mother tongue is a must to learn without doubts. At the first place, we should never question if learning and communicating in mother tongue will benefit us in any form. Knowing our mother language is our duty. In order to that, World Tamil Research Conference was introduced to emphasize the enrichment of our mother language.

This conference will discuss the social development of Tamil language and usually it will be attended by thousands of Tamil experts and enthusiasts from all over the world. This conference will take place in India and as well as in other significant countries which holds extensive Tamil population.

Notably, the first World Tamil Research Conference was hosted at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in 1966. This time with much pride, Malaysia will be hosting the conference for the fourth time. This conference is presented by World Tamil Research Association together with OMS Foundation and University Malaya is getting done with the necessary preparations for the conference. This conference will be held for three days starting from 21st July till 23rd July 2023 at Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Professor Sivabalan, the vice president of the committee of 11th World Tamil Research Conference requested those who are interested in attending this conference to gain more knowledge and valuable experience to register themselves as soon as possible as the last day for registration is 8th July 2023. The Chairman of OMS Foundation, MR. OMS P. Thiagarajan welcomes all the Tamil enthusiasts, learners, admirers of the language to show their love towards the language by attending this conference. The proposed theme of the conference is “The challenges faced by Tamil language during the growth of internet”. The discussions pertaining to few important and controversial topics which relates to the theme would be discussed there in order to give the attendees a piece of mind on significance of the language. Tamil is not only identity of any Malaysians meanwhile it is the identity of all the Tamil people in the world.

The conference will be able to provide more knowledgeable and new information which a person should learn about the ‘Tamil” language. Those who wondering to join the conference are welcomed to secure place for them.
