After 35 years, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Hassan will be collaborating again on a film tentatively titled KH234. Rumour has it that Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Dulquer Salmaan are in talks to be cast in crucial roles in this film.

This will be the first time the actor and director have come together to do a film since the phenomenal hit Nayakan. The film which was release in 1987, was a critically acclaimed success and is considered one of the finest films in Indian cinema.

Mani Ratnam has previously worked with actors Trisha and Jayam Ravi on the Ponniyin Selvam franchise. The film, an adaptation based on Kalki’s historical fiction also titled under the same name, saw Trisha in the role of Kundhavai and Jayam Ravi in the role of Arulmozhi Varman.

As for Dulquer, he had previously worked with the award-winning Mani Ratnam on the film Ok Kanamani. The film was also welcomed by audiences, who praised it for exploring the contemporary concept of living with your partner before marriage.
