The royal family has always been about the people and their commitment to the welfare of the people is unwavering. During the recent Kembara Mahkota Johor, the organization organized free eye examinations. The eye examination benefitted 430 people, of whom 56 were diagnosed with diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy by the chairman of the Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah Datuk R. Sugumaran.
Therefore, the Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah remains true to its mission of supporting the Indian community. This Foundation, by the Sultan of Johor, remains dedicated to improving community welfare, improving community welfare, improving education, fostering entrepreneurship, and fostering unity. Foundation chairman Datuk R. Sugumaran said aid worth RM79,645 had been transferred to 13 beneficiaries. He said as of August this year, 17 beneficiaries in four districts in the state had received more than RM60,000.
In June this year, the organization extended financial support to heart patient Vasanthi Sepiah. The foundation paid for her implantable defibrillator with pacemaker and donated RM20,000 to the 58-year-old housewife. The Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah was established on March 23, 2015, on the occasion of the coronation of the ruler, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
Sugumaran said the leader has always been close to the hearts of his people, especially the Indian community. The Foundation’s mission is to help the Indian community, especially in matters related to their welfare, entrepreneurship and education.
