The Ministry of Education’s response to the neglect of 12 students from the Tamil literature exam in the current SPM for Form 5 students sparked concerns in Bedong.
All impacted students are from Kedah Bedong Secondary School, and they have chosen Tamil literature as their exam subject. The Tamil literature exam is set for February 7th, but they have yet to be granted permission to take the exam.
Even though the exam is coming up, these students haven’t gotten the green light to take it. Parents and students are in the dark about this decision because the school has given an array of justifications for it.
Parents have appealed to the Education Department about the situation, and non-governmental groups have contacted the Ministry of Education on behalf of the impacted students.
Students become increasingly anxious as exam day approaches, fearing they won’t be able to take the important assessment.
The community is even more worried than before since the Ministry of Education has yet to respond adequately. The ministry’s action to address the problem and guarantee that every student gets to take the tests they choose is a move many keenly expect.
Stakeholders expect the Ministry of Education to act quickly to resolve this issue and offer the impacted students a fair and impartial solution.
