In this program, a historic temple in the state of Johor has created history as the first temple in Malaysia with its application and online booking system. Congratulations to the management of this temple for thinking a step ahead by bringing digitization while preserving customs and culture at the same time. For the information of Hindus in the state of Johor, especially Johor Bahru, the temple’s Maha Kumbabishegam will be held on 12 June 2024 with great excitement,” remarked YB Raven.

Raja Seelan, President of Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam, articulated the transformative potential of the SELF KIOSK and MOBILE APP. “This SELF KIOSK and MOBILE APP machine will provide all facilities for the devotees such as prayer-related activities, reservation for hall facilities, accepting donations, and accounting management,” he affirmed. The introduction of these technologies signifies a commitment to innovation in the administrative functions and services provided by temples in Malaysia. “This new project will surely be of great help to the devotees. Devotees will get all the services in advance including their “Archanai” to avoid long queues in the temple. Therefore, it is expected that the number of devotees will increase through this,” Seelan added.
Dr. Govindaraj Selvam, Director of Grasp Software Solutions, the pioneering force behind the temple management system, emphasized the efficiency and professionalism that digitization brings to temple administration. “This is the first digitizing machine as no such machine has been released before. So, there are some other initiatives like this to be published. In addition, this service should be introduced throughout Malaysia,” he asserted. The system promises streamlined management, ensuring every aspect from accounts to payments is handled with precision and organization. Dr. Govindaraj expressed his intent to propagate this initiative beyond Johor Bahru, envisioning a nationwide transformation in temple management systems.
With the unveiling of the Rajamariamman App and Kiosk, Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam stands at the forefront of temple modernization, embracing technology to enhance the spiritual journey of devotees while preserving the rich heritage of Malaysian Hindu culture.
As the countdown to the 7th Maha Kumbabishagam begins, the temple embarks on a new chapter of accessibility, efficiency, and reverence, setting a paradigm for temples across Malaysia to emulate in the digital age.
