Karthi is one of the few actors who is fighting hard to prove his versatility. From the male chauvinist to stealthy policeman, the actor doesn’t shy away when it comes to taking on roles that don’t conform to the traditional ‘hero’. His upcoming film, Kaithi, sees Karthi as an escaped prisoner.
The teaser promises a film laden with chase sequences, dark roads and plenty of terrifying henchmen. Naren stars alongside Karthi as a police officer. Many questions are also raised. Why was Karthi incarcerated? Why did he decide to escape? And what’s the real back story here?
The soundtrack by Sam CS works wonders for Kaithi’s teaser. We wait with bated breath for Karthi to appear. The teaser brilliantly saves the best for last, with the best being Karthi, playing the maniacal prisoner, gorging himself on chicken briyani. As he does, we hear the walkie-talkies screaming out about the escape of the convict named Ghilli.
This Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial looks to to be even better than Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. Kaithi will hit the screens in September.
