The extraordinary efforts and unwavering commitment of educators frequently serve as unsung heroes influencing the next generation in a country where education is regarded as the cornerstone of progress and societal advancement.
On the occasion of the 53rd Teacher’s Day celebration, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek awarded three Tamil School teachers from SJK (T) Pasir Kudang, SJK (T) Masai, and SJK (T) Ringlet.
Sharran Loganadzan, an educator at SJK (T) Pasir Gudang, emerged as a shining light, receiving a coveted prize for his outstanding efforts. Notably, his recent success in the National Level Malay Debate Competition demonstrated not only his ability as an educator, but also his excellent talents as a mentor and coach for his students.
Sharran’s Gold Award at the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in 2019 further demonstrated his commitment to youth empowerment and served as a reminder of his unshakable vision for developing future leaders. His numerous accomplishments in the realm of education and community enrichment are exemplified by his status as a champion debater and his staging of debate competitions.
The Minister of Education recognized Dr. Khasturi Ramalingam in the Special Education Award’s Philanthropy category. Well-known for her keen interest in teaching children languages, Dr. Khasturi has developed a curriculum inspired by her own desire to help kindergarteners learn Tamil and Malay. It’s also significant since she’s the mother of Arulini Arumugam, who is presently representing Malaysia in Chennai at the “Sari Gama Pa” music competition.
Anantarajoo from SJK (T) Ringlet was awarded the Anugerah IKON Guru STEM, recognizing his exceptional contributions to STEM education.
