About Taarana School
Taarana School, was established in May 2011 by RYTHM Foundation, the QI Group’s Social Impact Initiative. More than just an educational center, Taarana seeks to unlock every child’s potential and help them become active, contributing members of society. The school advocates for inclusive educational environments that ensure equal access to quality education for children of all abilities.
Recognizing a dire need for resources and support for children with special learning needs and their families, Taarana was founded to raise awareness about the importance of special needs education and to change attitudes and practices associated with exceptional children. Taarana and RYTHM also actively contribute to meeting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 , to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Taarana’s Special Education Programme is available to eligible students between the ages of 4 and 18. It stems from the Negotiated Education Plan (NEP), a structured plan that helps educators, families, and learners develop a curriculum tailored to the learner’s needs. By drawing up personalized goals and developmental milestones in consultation with parents and guardians, Taarana ensures consistency in the treatment and expectations of each child, aiming for the best possible outcomes.
The award from PEEAM is a significant milestone in Taarana’s journey, affirming the school’s impact and dedication to special education. It is a testament to the hard work and passion of everyone involved with Taarana from educators and staff to the supportive community and committed parents. As Taarana continues to inspire and lead, it remains focused on its mission to provide transformative, inclusive education and to create a brighter future for all its students.
