Datuk N.Mohanadas, the national climber who conquered Mount Everest in 1997, showered the 10 climbers of Keluarga Malaysia Everest 2022 (KAME 2022) with some words of encouragement as the team prepares for their upcoming mission on April 15th.

During the KAME 2022 flag-off ceremony, Mohanadas expressed that each climber must place high priority on security and be aware of their surrounding conditions along the journey to the peak of Mount Everest which is 8848 metres above sea level.

“Don’t neglect safety, listen to your body, If your body and health seems to not cooperate, you may take a break from climbing temporarily,” he added.

“The situation can’t be predicted when you climb. So, always follow the weather forecast. Not only that, various things can happen such as food poisoning, dehydration and so on,” Mohanadas advised the climbers.
