Astro’s Signature Dance Competition ‘Aattam’ Returns with Captivating Look and Feel

Astro is all set to launch its highly anticipated local Tamil reality dance competition, ‘Aattam,’ on December 7, 2024, at 9 PM on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202). The show, available via TV, Astro GO, On Demand, and sooka, returns with a revamped look and feel. Fans will be excited to see the return of the beloved hosting duo, Denes Kumar and Vikadakavi Magen, who reunite after 13 years apart to bring their charm and energy back to the stage.

Prem Anand, Vice President, Indian Customer Business, Astro, said, “We are excited to reboot our popular dance competition, Aattam, offering aspiring local dancers and choreographers an opportunity to showcase their talent. The intense competition between 22 contesting teams vying for the opportunity to be crowned the ultimate champion will keep our customers on the edge of their seats.”

MJ Nada, a renowned dancer, choreographer, and actor with over 35 years of experience in the local entertainment industry, will join Aruna, a respected host, classical dancer, and co-founder of a local dance school, as judges on ‘Aattam.’ Aruna is also widely recognized as the host of ‘Aattam 100 Vagai.’ They will be joined by Rameshwara, a highly accomplished Singaporean dancer, choreographer, actor, and director with more than three decades of experience in the performing arts. Rameshwara, who was also a winner of ‘Aattam 100 Vagai’ Season 3, will complete the judging panel. Fans can also look forward to appearances by various popular dance icons who will serve as guest judges throughout the season.

‘Aattam’ will feature 22 teams including V-Haara, Sharpasara, Rubinie Arts, Daaksha Arts, Trishool Dancer, NDA, DA Dancers, Kadaram Sirpangal, MRB Brothers, Riyana Arts, KJ Dancers, Sri Agni Dance Group, Githa Dance Academy, UMD, Ace of Beez, Millennium Arts, Tirav, Hyperflex DC, Maharani’s, De’fresherz, Shivalayaz Arts and KLMD Boys.
