One of the most significant Hindu festivals, Thaipusam, is just around the corner and will be celebrated on 11th February this year. Malaysians can witness the vibrant festivities through a live telecast on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) from 9th February, 8pm, until 11th February, 10pm via TV, Astro GO, On Demand, and Sooka.
This year’s theme, “Nandri Kantha” (Gratitude Resonates), brings an exciting first-time highlight—a live chariot procession alongside breathtaking visuals from renowned temples in Batu Caves, Georgetown, Ipoh, and Sungai Petani. Additionally, international coverage will include temples from India and Sri Lanka, offering a deeper glimpse into the grandeur of this sacred occasion.
To further immerse in the spirit of Thaipusam, Malaysians can also tune in to RAAGA radio, which will be broadcasting 24 hours of devotional songs, creating an atmosphere of divine reverence throughout the celebrations.
